A Little Housekeeping

My seven regular readers may have noticed the recent changes in the format of this august journal. The intent is to improve readability, reduce scrolling and annoy liberals.

As always, if you have feedback, please leave comments or email me -- any critiques are welcome. Except from liberals.

One complaint: when you get to the bottom of the page, there is no where to go. Please add "Previous" and "Next" buttons that work across month (and year) boundaries.

Right now, you have to find the d Archives list (which is sized at about 4 points) and is difficult to find.

Your site "stickiness" will go up!

Just my $0.02 plus tax.

Oh, my. There IS a list of recent and archived posts. The page must be set, width-wise, to something much wider than I use to view it.

On the lappy near my bed, I use Ctrl+Wheel to zoom in on most pages for the text to be bigger. This has made the columns appear at the very bottom after everything else.

Granted, I am not advocating adjusting to my preferred screen resolution, etc., but be aware that the page may be viewed quite differently by some. BTW, I'm 1280x800 and use about 80% of the width for FF.

But I wasn't aware of some of the elements on the right of the page. (Zoomed in, even the 2nd column goes to the bottom, but that's due to my text size preference. Even at "normal" size, though, the 3rd column goes to the bottom unless I maximize the window.)

FWIW.

The "More Recent Articles" area is sort of lame. If you click on one of them, you're just stuck on that article without any way to advance.

Can't you get Previous and Next buttons?
